Pyramid Rock?
The first line up announcement for Pyramid Rock festival (yep, another New Years festival) was released today.
Overall it’s a fairly boring announcement… Empire Of The Sun, The Cat Empire, The Butterfly Effect, Architecture In Helsinki, Faker, The Beautiful Girls, Blue King Brown thrown together with a few internationals like Ugly Duckling (US), LCD Soundsystem (DJ Set), Baddies (UK), and The Boxer Rebellion (UK).
My heart skipped a beat when I saw LCD Soundsystem… and then I saw DJ set. FAIL. Although this is only the first announcement and there are more acts to be added. Maybe LCD Soundsystem (non-DJ set)?! Maybe?! Fingers crossed for some non-DJ set sideshows.

Pyramid Rock festival happens from Tuesday 29 December 2009 to Friday 1 January 2010 at Pyramid Rock on Phillip Island, Victoria.
TICKETS?
Tickets on sale 9am Thursday September 3rd from this website and limited outlets. 2 Day and 3 Day passes will be available.
General Festival Ticket (2 Day Pass)
For entry from 8am Wednesday 30th Dec – Friday 1st Jan. Ticket includes free camping for two nights. 2 day Passes are $250 + booking fee.
Early Arrival Camping Ticket (3 Day Pass)
For entry from 11am Tuesday 29th Dec – Friday 1st Jan. Early Arrival Camping Tickets are strictly limited to half the venue’s capacity so that patrons can settle in early and secure a great campsite. On Monday 29th all venue facilities including catering, markets and bar will be open for early arrivals and movies shown on the big screen. Ticket includes free camping for three nights. 3 Day Passes are $285 + booking fee.
Limited tickets will be available at selected independent outlets when traders open on Sept 3 at: Corner Hotel Box Office – Richmond, Polyester Records – Fitzroy & City stores, Greville Records – Prahran, Island Surfboards – Cowes, Leading Edge Music – Pakenham & Wonthaggi, Phillip Island Visitor Information Centre – Newhaven.

The NYE festival called Pyramid Rock has released it’s 2nd and final round of acts. The line up already consists of Empire Of The Sun, The Cat Empire, Ugly Duckling, Architecture In Helsinki, LCD Soundsystem (DJ SET) and many more acts.
