The first line up announcement for Pyramid Rock festival (yep, another New Years festival) was released today.

Overall it’s a fairly boring announcement… Empire Of The Sun, The Cat Empire, The Butterfly Effect, Architecture In Helsinki, Faker, The Beautiful Girls, Blue King Brown thrown together with a few internationals like Ugly Duckling (US), LCD Soundsystem (DJ Set), Baddies (UK), and The Boxer Rebellion (UK).

My heart skipped a beat when I saw LCD Soundsystem… and then I saw DJ set. FAIL. Although this is only the first announcement and there are more acts to be added. Maybe LCD Soundsystem (non-DJ set)?! Maybe?! Fingers crossed for some non-DJ set sideshows.

You too could get messy at Falls Festival this year like these dudes…

So as you are all probably aware… the line up for Falls Festival got leaked last week as a result of some awesome detective work and a sloppy web developer (fired yet?).

It’s official, the kids love Tumbleweed as much as we do. After presales selling out last week, general release tickets for Homebake 2009 were all gone today within minutes of going on sale this morning. Nothing to do with Sneaky Sound Finger or whoever else is playing, we are sure.

Consider yourself warned that all Festival Ladies will be present at the Domain on the 5th of December 2009. That is if we survive our first ever all combined effort, Coaster.

Poleski will be heading to Byron Bay this weekend for Splendour in the Grass. Be sure to follow all the action as she dances up a storm to Miami Horror, Perry, Bloc Party and Flaming Lips, drinks large quantities of gin, eats her body weight in Twisted Sista baked goods, lies on the beach, goes searching for dolphins & takes over Steveski’s Watergos mansion…

On Saturday we (Ambascamba, Gemdilem, and Poleski) completed the 26km Sydney Harbour Circle Walk, raising money for julEYE.

It took nine hours. Fifteen bridges (at least). Three pub stops. One bag of mixed lollies. But we did it.

There is a reason cars were invented, and that is so people don’t have to walk 26km!

There are stupid ideas and there are very stupid ideas. Deciding to walk 26 km in one day is one of those VERY stupid ideas.

Tomorrow the Festival Ladies will attempt to complete the Sydney Harbour Circle Walk. It’s a 26 km walk through the City, Darling Harbour, Rozelle, Hunters Hill, Riverview, Wollstonecraft, Waverton before crossing the Harbour Bridge and returning to the City.
