Blues and roots fans, be excited. The first line up announcement for Bluesfest 2010 in Byron Bay is out, and it's a corker! Observe...

Crowded House, Buddy Guy, Roger Hodgson from Supertramp, Gipsy Kings, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, Jeff Beck, Lyle Lovett, Rockwiz (not technically a band, cheeky), Jimmy Barnes plays the Rhythm & the Blues (nice of them to specify).... Continue reading →

After a couple of years of somewhat disappointing Homebake lineups (we all know it's true) it's reassuring to see a strong Oz and NZ festival, in the form of Sounds of Spring. So reassuring, in fact, that the Festival Ladies will be deploying troops northwards to soak up some of the glorious sunny weather and to get amongst the mayhem of this Saturday's SoS 09 in Brisbane! Continue reading →

On Saturday we (Ambascamba, Gemdilem, and Poleski) completed the 26km Sydney Harbour Circle Walk, raising money for julEYE. It took nine hours. Fifteen bridges (at least). Three pub stops. One bag of mixed lollies. But we did it. There is a reason cars were invented, and that is so people don't have to walk 26km! Continue reading →
