The Festival Ladies here with the big scoops for the upcoming summer festival season. Here are the rumours we’ve been hearing:

  • Big Day Out rumours – Blink 182, Weezer, Placebo
  • Blink 182 and Weezer perform joint sideshows!!!!!
  • The Great Escape festival is resurrected and will be back at Easter with the Hold Steady and The Spooky Men’s Chorale on rotation for 3 days straight
  • Bloodhound Gang playing an exclusive show for MrsPop’s birthday
  • Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney and Hole playing at a grunge extravaganza
  • Faith No More touring late January (and performing at Soundwave)
  • The Veronicas die in wierd cult suicide pact
  • NIN farewell tour
  • Passion Pit don’t tour at all (disappointing millions of fans)
  • And finally, Coachella the Australian version confirmed for summer 2009/2010, location likely to be in Gippsland (Victoria), date TBA. The USA version postponed indefinitely.

Disclaimer: Approximately 10% of this might be true. The rest is likely to be straight from the dreams of the Festival Ladies.
